Abergavenny Town Hall

Abergavenny town hall is a Grade 2 listed building built in the middle of the 19th century. The building stands proud in the middle of this historic market town and still holds the weekly markets. This rural early French gothic style building is constructed of Devonian Old Red Sandstone with Bath limestone ashlar dressings.

Work carried out here by Jones and Fraser involved the remaking and pinning of a broken aspects of ornate bath stone, including cornices and decorative features, resin pinning of a cracked lintel above a roundel on the south facing elevation. Work was carried out from a light, electric aerial work platform cordoned off on the pavement of the main street.
